Tumble Books

Students can hear all books read aloud to them.

Once you are on the site, the best way to learn about it is to explore it!

If you click on the EBooks tab, the books are arranged in the following categories:  Early Readers, Chapter Books, Advanced Readers.

Session Idea:

  1. Pause the "read aloud"

  2. Ask the student to read the page to you

  3. Go back and listen to it (or vice versa...listen to it read aloud, hit pause, have the student read it.).

Also, the Puzzle/Games tab has some fun things to do with young readers or older struggling readers.

Storyline Online

Storyline online, in which celebrities read aloud well lived books to children, would be a great resource for parents when they need some quality screen time for the littles.

If IU tutors planned ahead by choosing the books with their students, they could read them together and the student could listen to storyline online as a follow up.  Ideally, parents could get those books from the library but that, unfortunately, isn’t likely.
